GOP Lawmakers Question Amtrak Over Six-Figure Bonuses


fight for america Two Republicans on the House Transportation Committee asked the rail service to explain how it awards bonuses after top executives received payouts of more than $200,000 each last year. The lawmakers’ letter was sent after a report by The New York Times revealed that Amtrak paid out $2.3 million in short-term incentive bonuses to top executives despite reporting its lowest revenue and biggest losses in more than a decade.
