fight for america As a City Council member, she vowed to bring Major League Baseball to the city and persuaded the team’s owner, Walter O’Malley, to move from Brooklyn. Roz Wyman in October 1957 after the Los Angeles City Council approved a deal for the Brooklyn Dodgers to move to Los Angeles. As a member of the Council, Ms. Wyman played a key role in that decision.
